Who We Are

Welcome to damagecalculator.us. This is a small website with one clear job: to give Pokémon players a free and easy damage calculator that works on any phone, tablet or computer.

The site is made and run by Karan Rajput KK, a blogger and web developer who builds simple online tools. We keep every tool clean, quick and easy to use, with no sign up and nothing to install.

Why We Built This Site

Many players lose a match because they guessed. They thought a move would KO, or they thought their Pokémon would survive a hit, and they were wrong. Doing the math by hand takes too long, and some calculators online are hard to read or slow to load.

So we put a full damage calculator on one page, with a clean look, a dark and light mode, and a short guide below it. You open the page, fill in two Pokémon, and you get your answer in a few seconds.

What You Can Do Here

• Check damage. See the lowest and highest damage of a move and the percent of HP it takes.
• Find the KO chance. Know if a move is a sure KO, a possible KO, or not a KO at all.
• Test your set. Change EVs, nature, item, ability and field effects, and see how the result moves.
• Play any generation. The calculator covers Gen 1 to Gen 9 and also has a Champions tab, a Random Battles tab and an Other Metagames tab.
• See the graph. Every result comes with a graph of the 16 possible hits and a bar for each move.
• Save and share. Download your result as an image or a PDF, or share it with your friends.

Our Promise

• The tool is free to use, today and later.
• There is no sign up. You do not need an account.
• We do not ask you to type your name, email or any personal detail to use the calculator.
• We write our guide in simple words, so anyone can follow it.

Where the Calculator Comes From

The damage engine on this site is based on the open source project smogon/damage-calc. It is shared under the MIT License, which lets anyone use and build on it. We thank the people who made it and who keep it up to date. We changed the look of the tool to match our site, and we added the result card, the graphs and the download buttons.
